FM-1000 is a powdered alkaline detergent safe for use on all metal surfaces. FM-1000 can be used in a hot tank as an immersion cleaner, as a spray cleaner, or as a manual cleaner. Contains a mixture of alkaline builders, water conditioners, low-foaming detergents and emulsifiers. No defoamers are needed with this product because it actually functions as a defoamer at temperatures above 140°F.
FM-1000 w/Rust Inhibitor will not etch nor corrode aluminum, brass or other metals when used as directed. This product is useful for general maintenance and cleaning anywhere metal machinery is kept.
Hot Tank: Add 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. Heat solution to 140-160°F. Immerse parts in tank and allow up to 30 minutes soak time. Rinse with fresh water. Spray Cabinet: Fill tank with fresh water and heat to 140°F. Add 1-2 ounces per gallon of water while water is circulating. Maintain bath temperature of 140-160°F. Allow up to 30 minutes washing time. Remove parts and rinse with fresh water. Manual Cleaning: Dilute FM 1000 w/ Rust Inhibitor with warm water at 2-4 ounces per gallon. Apply solution to dirty surface with sponge, brush or sprayer. Scrub as necessary and rinse with fresh water.
