Vegetable and fruit washing or preparation, frying, juice and wine making, soup preparation, egg washing, and canning operations that create objectionable foam are a few food processing applications. Other uses would include waste and water treatment operations and general cleaning where the combination of cleaner and soil create undesirable foaming.
Foam Control Compounds: These compounds may be used to control foam in egg washing machines. Eggs washed in water containing these compounds shall be immediately subject to a thorough potable water rinse. Super Defoamer is normally diluted with water before adding to a foaming system. Concentrations are determined by specific requirements. Temperature of foaming systems will also effect the use of Super Defoamer. When added directly to a foaming system, concentrations of 100 to 1000 ppm should be considered.
